You mentioned you were thinking of making this a Christmas Present? Seeing as You've already gone with the "christmassy" like colors, why not locate a "decent" santa for the driver's seat, and may gold lettering the license plate "Santa's Ride" ? With maybe a sack in the back with a few wrapped packages sticking out?

Told you it was a cheasy idea, but the thought struck me, and I just HAD to say it.

Big Smile [:D]
Pity I don't have the time to pull that idea off. Would have been great to see the faces on everybody!

So here it is, the one that kept me away from finishing my GB entries. I'm gonna give it to my father when it's done...hopefully this christmas Smile [:)] Anyway, as some of you might see it's the Revell/Monogram '59 Impala.
Made some new piping in the interior using copper wire and sprayed everything with Tamiya X-7 on a milk chocolate coloured base coat to tone down the red a bit. Extensive use of BMF on the chrome trim and gauges. Still needs a dull coat on the floor mats and some detail painting.
The chassie is painted with Tamiya acrylics and the engine got a home mixed orange/red hue. Still needs some weathering so it looks as it actually is used from time to time as a weekend cruiser, some dust and dirt underneath and in the engine bay.
The body is finished in Tamiyas white primer covered with clear pearl and ordinary clear on top. Rubbed and polished before BMF'ing the trim pieces and emblems. Will put on etched door locks before waxing here up as a final treatment.
Hope you like it, I do Big Smile [:D]...and now to the pictures.
