I don't have the movie here in front of me to check, but what type is it, what color is it in the movie (dark green?), & is there a model for it ?

I think it was a 916, which is available from tamiya 1/12 scale. I thought the one in the movie was black, but it has been a while since I've seen it.

It is supposed to be a Ducati 996, no known model of it out there.
Ducati offers now a limited 998 and 620 in Matrix scheme.

Bike appears to be black from this shot:

Quiet possible that the used a 998 too.
Either way I reckon that the Bike was moded heavily.

To my eye it appears to be a very dark green. In the following pic, chek out the light relecting off the fairing between the headlamps:

You can see some gradients of green there. Hope that helps.

Yes, its a dark green. Its the Ducati 998, of which there are a few kits out there for.

The specs, http://www.onyerbike.net/2004/ducati/matrix.htm

The bike used during the filming was an MV Agusta SP4, which was flat black. The ducatis are sort of injected. I dont know the whole story, but I saw pictures of Trinity on the MV, and then she appeared on the ducati... not sure what was up with that.

the MV was also used in I, Robot

If I recall correctly, the same fellow that designed the Duck, designed the MV.
I am speaking of the factory models, not the ones used in the movie.

Actually I was wrong Protar has a few models of the 996 out, some of their models are also reboxed by Revell of Germany but at a higher price.

Did the Protar Agusta MV4 and was disappointed there is a much better resin kit out in 1/12, also comes with a lady rider in maid outfit holding a gun. Tongue [:P]
