(I just noticed that there is a technique section on the forum, and I guess I mis-posted this...sorry in advance)

thanks for the tips...

let's say if I do strip the chrome and repaint, how would one bring it back up to that shiny finish?

I tend to strip most if not all the chromed parts and repaint them myself.

Bare Metal Foil will work for small areas.

Chrome my wheels
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, January 6, 2005 11:33 AM
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has experience with touching up the chrome pieces.

I was working on the wheels, and I accidently scratched the chrome off (thin line). In the past, I have tried to touch it up with Tamiya chrome color paint, but it just doesn't look right.

Is there a way to cover up the scratches?

TIA
