Hey adws ...

I was poking around on the forum here and there and just found this posting in another thread ... thought it might give you hope ... check it out: Approve [^]

QUOTE: originally posted by Build22 in another thread entitled: Guidance needed in the Armor forum Call Tamiya. They have an 800 number for customer service. I recently purchased a model kit with japanese directions. I called them & they said they would put them in the mail. (I still haven't gotten then yet - it's only been a couple of days) The number is 1-800-TAMIYA_A ( 1-800-826-4922)

Hope this helps ... again ... good luck!

Hi ya adws ... Smile [:)]

I sure hope someone here on the good ol' FSM Community Modeling Forum(s) will come thru and help out a fellow modeler and fellow forum member with a copy of those instructions you need. Wink [;)]

How about it guys and gals ... ??? Tongue [:P]

If, no one has a set they can copy ... I agree with Butz ... perhaps you could write or email Tamiya America in CA and plead your case. Blush [:I]

A short story along those same lines ... if you have the time ...

About 15 years ago, I purchased one of Tamiya's 1/32 scale F-14 Tomcat kits from that big mailorder outfit in TX ... at $34.95 the kit was a real bargin ... I soon learned why ... no english instructions included ... only japanese instructions ... Disapprove [V]

I couldn't (still can't) read japanese. It seems that at that time MRC from NJ was importing all of the Tamiya kits, (Tamiya America was just a fond dream in Mr. Tamiya's sleep). Sleepy [|)]

I phoned the big mailorder outfit in TX and asked if any english instruction books were available ... nope ... they confirmed that these kits were a special order deal direct from Japan ... hence no english instructions were included. They suggested that I try to purchase a set direct from MRC. [:0]

So, I wrote to MRC and explained what had happened and asked if I could purchase a set of english instructions. In a few days I received a complete set of english instructions in the mail ... no charge! Approve [^]

I quickly wrote MRC back and thanked them ...

What a first class outfit MRC turned out to be! Approve [^]

I hope if you have to write or email Tamiya America you have as good a luck as I had. Big Smile [:D]

I just bought a Tamiya 8ton Semi Track Sd.Kfz7 on ebay, and the only instructions it has is in Japanese. Since I can't read Japanese, I was wondering if anybody knows where I might be able to find some instructions online.

Any help would be great.
