Posted by Anonymous on Monday, February 21, 2005 5:50 PM
This is a car i have ben working on for over 14 months and now the hardest part is over. The paint job has all 36 colors from the real car put into it and also all the high lights where done. Every thing was done using Air brush.

Wow! That's one impressive paint job you've got there. Can we get a couple more, closer photos?

Wow!
I can sure understand why it took you 14 months to get this far, that is one bad *** paint job. Wish I had the patience to do somethink like this, I struggle when it comes to a plain and simple two-tone paint job. Well done, and please some close-ups on the side panel.

Cheers!

Now that's what I'm talking about. WOW! Man that's beautiful. Is the red a candy color? It looks a foot deep. I can't wait to see the finished car.

Thanks for all the great words on this thing. Yes the Red is a Candy Red over organic green and then had 4 coats of clear before starting on the graphics. Each graphics had its own clear coat done and wet sand so it all laid flat.

I will be getting some closer photos this week.

Ok you want to know more and see more of this car lol.. Im very glad you all like it so for. I have stated in another fourm that this car will not make a show now till GSL 2007 in Salt Lake.. (Given mined it may show up at Detroit Auto Rama in 2006)
The chassis has ben strip down again and will be redone up to par of the body. But here is some shots of the Inter,. The inter was all scratch built except for the Dash and the back seats. The floor was rebuilt. Front seats where from a parts box and redone in resin. center consual was taken out of a corvette and redone in resin. the side door pannels where scratch built. it floor was done in matching camel tan flock and the color is camel tan paint with bone white leather stirps on the doors. The center of the dash was done in Aclaid II and the steering wheel was from a willys kit, steering shaft was done in Aluminum and hi polish. The last photo is the body after i done the BMF and each part was done in one section and the head liner is also in it and was done in Bone White cloth.

WOW I am speechless......when you said all 36 colors from the original I wasn't sure what you meant by that though....do you mind explaining if you mean the original stock colors available during that time? Sorry I should probably know that...lol but I'm more of an aviation guy.
