I'm mostly looking for hose clamps and other hardware. I thought for sure that stuff would be out there in this scale. Needless to say, I was wrong...

Ive also posted a similar thread- ive been looking for 1/8 scale detail parts for my 1978 corvette 1/8 scale kit. the kit is the old monogram kit i got off ebay. most of the exterior details are spot on, but the engine is horrible. even 1/25 scale has more detail! it has detailed hoses, but no distributor, nor an accurate intake or carb. its just that one piece molded crap like youd find on those old revell models from the mid 80's. with all that stuff out there for resin casting, and the return of some of the 1/8 scale kits, youd think thered be something. i looked at the pocher kits, and for what i need, they are just not right. ferrari parts or porsche parts are not suitable for a corvette. im thinking that i will end up making my parts from scratch. if only there was a way to enlarge or reduce existing parts, i would just get 1/25 parts and scale them up

You could try Dave Cox on www.modelmotorcars.com - he does Pocher parts and upgrades. Scale spark plugs and leather come to mind as useful for 1/8th enthusiasts.
Also Brady Ward at www.scaleautoworks.com

Either way both these sites are fascinating - check out the galleries. !!!!

You might want to do an Internet or eBay search on 1/8 scale parts. I know I've seen some detailing parts for the 1:8 scale Pocher kits that you may find useful. The only domestic manufacturer I know of was Monogram, who produced some accessories for their Big 'T', way back. These come up occassionally on eBay.

I did a Jag last year, and put grain of sand bulbs in the marker, head, break, and insturment lights, and power them off of a battery. Looks kinda cool, and something kinda different.

as for AM stuff, I scratchbuilt everything I added to mine cause I couldnt find anything.

Also its kind of sad the industry cant make bigger scale kits instead of 1/25th. At least they should all be 1/24th. I think 1/18th would be great cause it matches the popular die casts

Will do. It appears that there isn't anything at all avaliable in this scale. It's a shame too since this scale allows for some really great superdetailing!

1/8th scale Jag and Vette

While going thru my stash, I found I have the old Monogram1/8th scale Jag XK-E as well as the Monogram 1/8th scale 1984 Corvette Coupe. They have sorta sparked an interest in me to build something other than aircraft.

Are there any online builds and aftermarket parts/kits for either of these out there?

Thanks in advance.
