Black Wash use
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 12:21 AM
I'd like to try using a black wash on an exhaust system. What is the best way to apply? Also I read previously that a good mixture is 10:1 on a black acrylic and water. Does this sound correct?

You could even go 20:1, and try it. If you need to, you can apply more coats. I recommend using isopropyl alcohol to thin. It evaporates quicker and flows better.

Or a drop of dish washing liquid added to the mix will add flow.

Synthetic brushes though don't seem to work very well though.
