Creating "Ghost" stripes or flames
Posted by LemonJello on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 8:04 AM
This question just popped into my head this morning, so I thought I'd post and ask:
How do you get ghost stripes/flames on a car? What's the process/correct order involved with the painting?

I think I'll try it out on my GTO (whenever I get around to starting it), but I'm fascinated by the effect.
A day in the Corps is like a day on the farm; every meal is a banquet, every paycheck a fortune, every formation a parade... The Marine Corps is a department of the Navy? Yeah...The Men's Department.

I know we are not supposed to advertise other forums, but since it is the sister site for ehre it should be ok. Slide over to scale auto's forum and hunt down Roadhawg. he does some sweet lookingones that I have the pleasure of seeing in person. He would most likely give you some pointers.

Thanks, I'll do that. Some of those paint jobs are intimidating, to say the least. But they're also pretty inspiring, too.

I've been thinking about that also. Check out this "ghost" flame job. Not sure I like the pink but what cool effect. I'll hunt down Roadhawg as well.
