Tamiya Catopgraph decals don't stick
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, April 15, 2005 2:53 AM
Can anyone advise I have has problems getting the catograph decals to stick on Rossi Valencia kit by Tamiya. Is this a common problem or am I just unlucky? Normally I have no problems with Tam iya decals. I used Microscale Ste and Sol decal solutions. Did complete bke but cuple of decals blew off during clear coat spraying with airbruck at 0.9 bar, which is a low pressure

Thanks

the only thing i can think off is that u let them sit in the water for too long, and the glue dissolved. i only dunk the decals in water, shake em round for a bit, then i let them sit on a sponge till theyre ready to come off the backing

Thanks for reply. I typically dip decal in warm water for literarly 2 seconds and then leave the decal on a towel till it slides loose, so the decals come loose on the towel. but they still did not stick at all, could it be a negative reaction to Microscale Sol?

if thats not the prob, it could be the micrsol, tho cartograph decals r usually of a good quality. maybe they got wet from humidity of something and the glue dissolved.
do u still have the decals?
