Put creamy punut buttter on the windsheild and wipe off with a paper coffee filter. Works great to get the scratches out of CD's too. Good luck:)

I heard that using a light coat of toothpaste works well too! Use plenty of water though.

Anyone else heard of this an tried it?

Sounds like an inexpensive way out.

If it is just a very light scratch try to coat the windshield with Future. I am able to solve 85% if the scratches I get on clear plastic with Future and without polishing.

if it is a deep scratch, i suggest sanding it with very fine sand paper, then polishing it with plastic polish. If it is only a small surface scratch, you could probably skip right to the polishing(all you need is the polish and a soft clean rag)

Ahoy Mr. Buzzrd,

Most light scratches can be polished out using a mico-mesh polishing kit and plastic polish. It takes a little elbow grease, but the results are excellent. I recommend you get yourself a micro-mesh kit and Novus plastic polish from www.micromark.com I've also found that once polished, a windshield, dunked in Future and left to dry, looks almost like glass.

Thanks to poor storage of a kit, I've had a windshield get scratched on one of my kits, and am wondering if you all know any good fixes, finishes, or polishing techniques to repair the windshield's appearance.

Any advice?
