Revell 427 Vette

I'm about to start this Vette -

It comes with two hoods - one has the 427 bulge/scoup on it, the other has the longer but lower bulge. The former is intended for use with the stock 427 motor, while the second hood is supposed to be punched out to allow the street-machine (blower) engine to stick through. I prefer the look of the sleeker non-427 hood, but I'm not sure whether the stock 427 motor will fit under it properly. I could do a build up of the engine bay and then test fit to see what works where, but before going to all that trouble, I thought I'd ask if anyone has experience with this kit and can tell me one way or another. I would prefer to finish the body first so I'd like to decide on a hood before doing the whole build-up of the engine. The car will feature an actual leather trimmed interior with a detached and hinged tonneau cover to show off the cargo area. Should be a hoot. I thought about scratch building the buttresses and t-top but now the roadster style is growing on me :-) Thanks in advance! Can't wait to make use of this forum; glad to be here. Happy building, all.
