Help: AMT '57 Ford didn't come with bias plies.

The night before last I went to my LHS and purchased the latest issue of the AMT '57 Fairlane. I was planning a nearly box stock build to represent an early sixties street racer. Unfortunately when I got to examining the wheels and tires I noticed that it came with a set of radials, a pair of slicks and no stock-type tires.

I don't know if AMT isn't including bias ply tires in these kits anymore, or if they got left out at the factory. I checked the AMT website to find out about getting replacement pieces, but according to the FAQs there the only policy is to exchange the kit at the hobby shop. Unfortunately, I've started the kit and returning it isn't an option.

Can anyone recommend a good aftermarket supplier for 15" 1/25 scale bias ply tires? The guy at the hobby shop recommended The Modelhaus in Decatur, Illinois but I'd like to double-check that before I send off my two dollars for a catalogue. Thanks.

Thanks Martin, maybe I'll try emailing AMT, though as I said, their website says that they do not keep replacement parts on hand and will only issue an exchange through a dealer (ie; the hobby shop). It's sad, because back in the old days I got replacement parts a couple times over the phone, no questions asked.

I have a bunch of spare tires in my parts box.
I could send you a set of the Firestones that Amt used to have in that kit.
Shoot me an email with your address and I'll get them along to you.

Ya amt does not included extra parts in the kits anymore , Seem funny because they are all made in China now you would think they would keep them the same. So for tires you going to have to buy a different kit, after market or get them from somebody.
