Still want to make the '66 version.

Have the version from the first Movie. Actually trying to make a Humor dio with it, stripped and up on blocks. Know anyone who makes cement blocks in 1/24th?

Also scratchbuilt another 1/12 scale late fifties Batmobile, and one of the ertl movie cars - even put an operating R/C car chassis under it.

I haven't built one yet, but one project I'd still like to do is the Keaton Batmobile in the snow from Batman Returns. I just think that would look really cool for some reason.

Adam West it the only batman in my eyes... So naturally the only batmobile is the 60's buick. I'd LOVE to get my hands on that!

It wasnt a buick... it was a Lincoln Futura concept car that they used for the TV show

has anyone seen the trailer for the new Batman movie (think it's called Batman Begins?). The Batmobile shown in the trailer looks incredible! Not sure if die hard Batman fans will like it, but I think it looks very cool.

The Batmobiles used in the 60s TV series were custom cars built by George Barris. The foundation car was either a T-bird or a Lincoln (cannot remember right now). There were several made for the TV series (either 5 or 6) and all done by George Barris' custom shop in CA.

Got one from Batman Return and one from Batman foever. I think the new Batmobile in Batman Brgins look great, but don't really look like a batmobile.

Without banging anyone over the head about the origins of the TV Batmobile, it was originally a Lincoln Futura showcar built in 1955; when the show came along, George Barris had the car in his possession, and had the vehicle "Bat-Kustomized" (don't know if that's an actual word, just came to me). Three more fibreglass Batmobiles were built from molds taken from the original Batmobile: one was a backup car for the show, and two more were built as 427-powered dragsters for the racing car circuit (along with a copy of the Black Beauty). The fifth car was fan-built and was later obtained by Barris. Despite claims to the contrary by people hustling to sell their knock-offs, there was never a sixth Batmobile.

There are full-size Batmobiles out there for the taking (if you have some big bucks laying around), either in kit car form or built-up customs using T-Birds or LTDs for running chassis, but from what I understand, none would be street-legal anywhere in the continental U. S.

I have the Futura model from many years back, and it was only partially built. Would be neat to convert it.

A Dallas radio DJ, Russ Martin, has 2 custom-built Batmobiles, plus a Mach 5.
Had to make a few minor concessions to get them street-legal, but you can see them on his website: http://russmartin.com
