Well there is a wealth of different green hues on this one!
The body is painted with Tamiya TS-22 Light green
The interior is a mix of Tamiya and Humbrol. Floor matt is XF-51 kakhi drab, the medium green is Humbrol 101 and the light greyish is a mix of XF-2 white with just a tiny amount of XF-51 to get a kind of light green/grey colour rather then a pure white one. Engine is also XF-51 over sprayed with X-25 clear green, didn't really achive what I was looking for but it's ok as is I think. There is this contest in august and this year's theme is green, when I decided on this scheme I didn't know about that...but hey! Why not enter that one to
Just had a go with the first layers of silver leaf and if it wasn't for thoose f-ing dust speckels I'd be satisfied with it. But has to sand it a bit and give it another go before the clear goes on.
I'll keep you all updated with the progress.

Sorry, forgot to answer your question
The interior is just a matter of using a couple of meters masking tape , in this case from Tamiya. Then I applied the colours one by one. The dash isn't as hard as you think to get like this as it's broken down in three pieces with the middle one already in chrome. Meters and stuff is supplied on the decal sheet so it wasn't very hard to get like this.

So, I made some progress and got the silver leaf on and some basic wiring on the engine. Still needs some clear coats on the bodywork and some polishing before I'll go crazy with BMF! There is also going to be some more wiring and plumbing to do on the engine.

Got the clear coats on and this is before taking care of some problems and polishing it out.


The engine/frame got married and it needs a little touching up when it's all together.

It's so me to miss such a thing. I managed to drag some of the silver pigments out on the green and didn't notice until 5 layers of clear was on top of it....doooh! Well, problem rectified and the lot polished and now it's BMF party time

Here's the latest update after I almost finished the BMF-party

Right side finished, I took the liberty to add some additional chrome trim around the fender flares and stretched the forward one to the grill.

This is the left side without the extra trim pieces

Made the seatbelt fabric from some sort of surgical tape and used etched buckles from MCG, great stuff!

Some VHS tapes and a childrens book in the back seat.

...and some junk in the back of the car, more to come when I've finished it

Yes it is, Great job on the model that silver part of the car looks interesting !!! The little details help too , good job.

Made some progress on the interior details. Have been working on the grocery bag and the contents. For those of you not living in Sweden this items will look unfamiliar, but the bag is from one of the big supermarkets in Sweden, called Coop Forum and all the little things is from that place.
Tried to glue them together with paper glue and wasn't very succesfull. Have to try with super glue the next session.
Well, here goes nothing...or at least it's very small :naughty:

What do you make the model boxes, bags, boxes out of ? Do you print them off the internet then just cut them then glue.

Sweet progress. Those tiny little detail items are amazing.

I'm getting this question often now, maybe it's about time for me to get the old thumb out and make a tutorial on the subject
I use my digi-cam and disects the bags, boxes or whatever 3-d object and lay it flat on the floor.
Just snaps a pic as straight as I can and then it's off to the PC for some work.
Crop and resize the pic and put it in Pagemaker (or whatever you like to work with) and just scale it down.
I usually fill an entire A4 photopaper with different images, books, magazines, boxes or whatever I like to have in my cars.
Then it's just to print at the highest possible quality and get to work with sissors, scalpels, some good glue and a load of patience for some of the smaller boxes

Try it you'll like it!
