RC211V photoetched kits
Posted by archangel571 on Monday, June 6, 2005 6:52 AM
hey guys, i've already had the studio 27 upgrade kit for my RC211V '03 shipped home. however, I was on ebay today and came across this LionRoar Photo-Etched kit for the RC211V and apparently they also have it for the yzr500. i was wondering if anyone had actually used it or have heard of anything for even the company. The price isn't that bad so I am thinking about getting those kits for my valencia rc211V to see how it is. The layout of the photoetching is different from the studio27 set, but all the detailed parts seem to be there. thanks.

Edited: yes, i am now BOX-STOCK. sheesh. anyway, i just took a closer look, the lionroar set actually comes with the chains (n almost lil of anything else cept for the brake discs) while the studio27 set has pretty much the rest of the stuff, so getting both might actually have them complement each other there. the left-overs can be shoved into either the '02 rc211v or the valencia version. they do come out to be a 34 dollar hole on the budget though.

Ryan, from the F1 groups I've heard a lot of less than flattering stuff about some Lion Roar PE sets. But if it compliments each other, why not...? I also have the S27 one, but will leave that for my last RC211V: the 03 Rossi one.

ic, I guess I will bite the bullet and be the guineapig for us bike guys then. Studio 27 doesn't give us the chains, at least I can't see from the picture of the set I got. Worst case I can just dump it on any of the three RC211V kits.
