New Revell Ferrari 612 finished
Posted by Martsmodels on Thursday, June 9, 2005 8:19 AM

Hi Guys - here's the new Ferrari 612 Scaglietti from Revell. It's a nice little kit that builds well and has to be good value at half the Tamiya price.

This one is 100 percent boxstock but taken from pictures of the Detroit Motor Show car.

Cheers - Martin

No problems. Probably the best I've seen from Revell - they've really upped their game with this one. Slight 'halo effect' from the thickness of the glass on the lights which need sanding a bit to fit into the recesses but that polished out with chamfering the edges slightly. Same with the other glass which was remedied by going around the edge with a Sharpie marker.

Paint is rattle can - Rover Nightfire Red - figured they wouldn't be needing it anymore!

Love it - gorgeous eye candy. Didn't even know the Scag kit was released yet. What's your seat belt secret, or was that part of the kit?

Revell has really made improvements in the past few years. I found the Civic Si kit very impressive. Has anyone tried the 6th generation Corvette?
