1/24 Ferrari 512?
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, July 1, 2005 5:21 PM
Does anyone make a kit of 1970's long tail 512? I just got a cool Porsche 917 lemans kit and thought the 512 would look great next to it.

Fisher model and pattern has a couple of "Coda Lunga's" in their range of resin kits. They ar both $85+shipping/handling. Haven't built anything like this myself but they sure look nice and from what I read the castings are very clean and crisp.

Protar did a 512S which comes up on ebay every now and again. I haven't started mine yet but it looks quite nicely detailed.

Testors also did one, (could it be the same kit?) and there is one on ebay right now

Good luck

Further to my last post - both those are the short tail versions - I saw a scratchbuilt conversion done, I think on the GPMA website.
Will see if I can find it for you and let you know.
