Wow that looks very very good, nice work ont he decals around the seat, as well as the scratch built plumbing.

Thanks! That's the first time I've printed my own decals, actually. I made my own image of the carbon fiber effect in photoshop and then used a laser printer to print them out on paper from beldecal.com. I need to go with a darker mesh next time, but I'm still fairly happy with it. Glad to hear it doesn't look totally off, though!

Thanks for the pic! It's definitely changed, but still gives me a few ideas. Definitely makes me wonder how Tamiya figured some of these colors needed to be. The bell housing is way off!

Well, in case anyone's actually reading, here's the new plumbing.

That's actually the first time I've scratch built anything for a kit. Kinda fun.

Here's a shot of the missing plumbing. I ended up fabricating a connection out of solder. I'll post pictures tomorrow. I also made plumbing going to and from what I suppose are oil coolers on the floor right next to the turbo. I sure wish I could find an engine shot of a real 88CV to get some more detailing ideas!

I had to ressurect this thread to see if anyone else has built this kit, or knows where I might find engine pictures, or shots of other built kits. It seems that the kit is missing the tube that goes from the outlet of the turbochargers to the inlet of the intercoolers. There is a boss sticking out of the intercooler inlet, but no plumbing I could find in the kit to attach to it. Thinking about scratch-building one out of sprue. Any tips?
