Aquavitafs........
Regrettably, no progress shots as yet - I still have some contract builds to get out of the way first - I'll have to go out to a couple of race meetings for some pics......we have a Porsche Cup racing series here and there's usually all sorts of amazing cars at the track.
I'll keep you all posted with the progress as soon as I start.

Cheers, LeeTree

leemitcheltree,

I know this post was sometime back but what a sweet kit. I am a Porsche man. I have been trying to get my hands on one of these and other
rare Porsche kits. If you have any recent progress pics, let us see them.

Thanks guys -
I'm planning to go a little "nutso" with this one - I plan on detailing the heck outta this kit.
Too much detail just isn't enough.

Way to go LeeBig Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D] Its great when you get a "win" occasionally.

I got 2 Tamiya 1/12th 935's (one partially built) an unbuilt 1/12th 934, a partially built Renault turbo, and a Lotus (again both 1/12th) plus a compressor and a couple of other 1/20th kits for NZ$200 ie about $US138 some 10 years ago and the wife threw quite a tantrum (Angry [:(!]Black Eye [B)]Censored [censored]) but I reckon I got a bargin too - shame I haven't built them yet!

It's sad, but the guys who work at my LHS usually start laughing as soon as they see me coming. I'm in there constantly so I've gotten to be pretty good friends with the folks who work there.

One day I walked in and the cashier looked at me and, before I could even open my mouth, she says "We don't have it" and started laughing her a$$ off. I responded by saying "I came here looking for good customer service" and started laughing my butt off. Turns out, they didn't have a single thing I was looking for, but I had a great time that day anyway. I think I ended up hanging out there for a few hours and ended up answering the phone for them when they got busy. And they didn't even pay me!

I swear - I get no respect.

Man - why can't I ever find deals like that. Most of the time, I'm just thrilled to death if my LHS has what I'm looking for at any price!

Sweet deal!

I'll agree, it's a bit of a bargain. Poor shop owner, I hope you buy all your paints there!

So long folks!

Man - I got lucky today!Tongue [:P]Big Smile [:D]
A 1/12 Tamiya Porsche 934 turbo RSR. Nice one....
A local shop that sells die-cast cars was getting rid of stock that hasn't moved in a couple of years (people don't go to die cast car model shops to by plastic models, do they?).......I picked this up for $65AUD (still in the shrink wrap!!) - that's $49USD to the rest of you - a bit of a bargain, I'm thinking......the thing retails here for about $250, normally.

I'm going to try to get the Scale Motorsport Porsche 935 photo CD - there's a lot of similarities between the two cars......and I think it's gonna take a while to build this one.......it's gonna be fun.
I'll keep you posted.

Cheers, LeeTree
