Here ya go......

For wiring, I'd use either fine copper or steel wire painted black or fine solder painted black. The connectors are harder to do, you need to go aftermarket parts if you want to add them aswell.

Way cool! I am on leave as of this afternoon for a few weeks, after which I have to complete my bike for the MotoGP GB (so that I can start on my M1!). But we must fire up something like that, either late this year or early next. And if you guys are talking wiring, I will look forward to learning some more!

As for the painting - I used the prescribed colours in the TS range, which worked great for me. But those are quite close, I'd think...

Seabee - I'd definitely be up for an F1 GB. I haven't built an F1 car for a while now (the last one was a Mclaren MP4-5B a few years ago). I've actually got more interest in F1 cars than Moto GP bikes. I wouldn't mind building another F2001.......

modelbuilder - I've got a few pics of the engine and sidepods in my rather large F1 picture collection if you want them. I'll upload them soon and post them in this thread.

Just thaught of something else guys. I am getting ready to paint the car. I like using enamels on my kits, does any one know what the proper color enamels would be to do this car? I was thinking Model Master Aluminum for upper part and Model Master Anthracite Grey Metallic for the lower part. Advice needed.

Hi all I am getting ready to do some final assembly on this kit and was wondering if there are any good references for the wiring on this kit? Has anyone else built this kit? If so how did you do your wiring?

Great work so far. An F1 GB is something sorely needed in this forum. I'd probably end up joining in, just to build something different.

BTW guys, what's the odds of us starting up a F1 GB some time later this year or early next year? Any takers?

Daniel, if you're interested in doing an F1, that is a good option. Being one of the newer kits, the go together real well. The only thing to "remember" is first building the nose section of the monocoque and then opening the bottom thereof to insert the seat, etc. Otherwise you'll get some probs with the painting and afterwards assembling the halves of the monocoque. Or you'll have to mask off the cockpit (very well) to do the painting.

Progress on the kit is looking good, MB! Keep it coming...

Looks like you're doing a good job so far. What's the Tamiya kit like to build? I might have to do an MP4-13 one day. Thanks for sharing.Thumbs Up [tup]
