Ahhhh..."I see," said the blind man. Well, in that case good luck.

BTW, that must've been quite the adventure in Sierra Leone!

Cheers!

The price is not what puts me off.
I want to recreate a military advisory team I was in in Sierra Leone. We used Civilian 110 Defenders white fleet.
If building the Wolf as Wolf the kit is well worth it, but as a conversion basis.....

I bought the 1/35 scale Accurate Armor kit Gino mentions (XD 'Wolf") at the Orlando IPMS show this past summer. Yes it was a bit pricey ($120.00US)...but the quality of the kit justifies every penny. It's an incredibly sexy multi-media kit in resin, PE and white metal.

It's on my to-do (must-do) list and the only thing keeping me from building it is the desire to sharpen my modeling skills to the point where I feel I can do it justice. But I continually open the box and fondle it lovingly as I read and re-read the pages of instructions that come with it.

Seeing as I also intend to build a dio around it, it looks like I'll also have to get better at figure conversions to create an SAS team to man it.

Plunk down the cash Mac...I can promise you that you won't regret the investment!

thanks,
will use Wolf as a last resort and convert back of it. decided largely by cost - as you say a bit pricy.

Ideally looking at long wheel base 110 though, the type used by the UN, NGO's etc.

Only one I know of is an all resin kit by Accurate Armor from Scotland. They make a few versions of the LR Wolf military version, but they are pretty pricey.

I am looking for a model, any scale larger than 1:48th, preferably 1:35, of a 110 defender.
I have tried Hannants and tamiya with out any luck.
Ideas please !http://www.finescale.com/fsm/community/forum/icons/message/icon_mi_10.gif
