TV/Movie trucks & cars
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 8:56 AM
I'm slowly building a collection of kits of TV & Movie-related cars & trucks.. so far, my stash includes:

AMT/Ertl Kenworth Aerodyne COE with a "BJ & the Bear" decal set from JBOT decals.

AMT "Movin On" Kenworth W-900 with a Revell W-900 "Australia" for the proper option package.. also a replacement decal sheet by JBOT.

AMT/Ertl "Blueprinter" issue of the Munsters Koacj & Drag-U-La kits.

AMT/Ertl "Blueprinter" issue Sunbeam Tiger that I'll be finishing to duplicate Max's car from the first couple of season of "Get Smart"

Couple of built-up "Man from Uncle" Piranhas that I'm gonna try to salvage.

Aurora "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" built-up in the restoration pile

So, what TV/Movie car kits are in your collection, or which ones do you wish there were kits of?.

I've collected up a few of the Batmobile kits:

Batman (original movie) Batmobile, Batwing and motorized Batmobile by AMT/Ertl
Batman Returns (2nd movie) Batmobile (with removable engine), Batmissile and Batboat by AMT/Ertl
Batman Forever (3rd movie) Batmobile, Batwing and Batboat by Revell
Batman and Robin (4th movie) Batmobile and Robin’s motorcycle by Revell-Monogram
Batman Begins (5th movie) new Bandai 1/35 scale Batmobile "Tumbler"
Old TV series Barris Batmobile by Imai
Old TV series Batcycle and Batboat by Polar Lights
Comic book version Batmobile and Batplane by Polar Lights

Two original movie Joker Goon Cars since it can be made into a Gotham City police car.
The Blueprinter armored cocoon for the original movie Batmobile.

Both of Polar Lights' Speed Racer Mach 5 race cars in glue and snap kit.

Daisy Duke Jeep and Hogan's Heroes Jeep both by AMT/Ertl
RoboCop police car by AMT/Ertl
Mr. T’s A-Team van by AMT/Ertl

I've got two of the Aliens' (second movie) armored personnel carrier from Halcyon as well as the spacecraft (shuttle from Alien and dropship from Aliens).

Probably missed some. The new Bandai Batmobile looks really nice.

Lets see,
General Lee AMT/Ertl
3 or 4 Various Batmobiles, Boats and Planes
Hard Castle and McKormic Coyote
A couple of Knight 2000's
A-Team Van
and the list goes on.......
Always have a soft spot for movie and TV vehicles, especially the ones from my childhood. Anyone remember the show Street Hawk? That bike would be nice to have in the collection.

yea a streethawk would be nice, i dont think there were any kits made unless they were garage kits, and even those are nearly impossible to find. I had to scratch build the BattleTruck from Warlords of The 21st century from movie stills, so goin back to streethawk yea you might have to scratchbuild it.

As far as Street Hawk is concerned, check out this site:

Lots of pics in the bike info section, this guy has alot of free time. But it's pretty cool.

And MPC had one listed in its catalog. Photo of the prototype and everything. But it was canceled before it made it to store shelves. I don't think they even got so far as cutting any tooling for it. They did do a car tie-in kit, but that was just a rebox of an existing kit.
