My first models

Hey there guys!

My name is Taha and i'm new to this section of the forum Big Smile [:D]

. I live in london and currently study in high school. Here's a link to my first two car models. As you may have guessed, they are of racing cars, as I am a huge fan of motorsports. I made them in the summer of 2003 and 2004 when i was off from school. I hope you enjoy them, and feel free to criticize, as there are MANY errors! I'm hoping to learn from them, so please give tips on how to prevent some of the mistakes from happening again. I used Tamiya acrylics and laquer sprays for the paint.

Nice models, taha. You've done some very good work there. Very clean assembly, and nice work on the paint and decal application. I hope to see more cars from you in the future.

Taha, very nicely done! Clean job! Decals are superbly done!

Don't be scared to "go back" on what you've done and re-touch from the other side to get even lines. (Eg. at pics 1020 in front of the wheels, just run a bit of black at the top to tidy up the brushing of the other colour. But that's being hyper-critical.

Good work! Enjoy the auto section! And show us some more of this stuff!

Btw, if there's something specific you want to know about, ask away. There are lots of times when a specific thing did not come out as you hoped, but looks fine to others. So if there is something that bothers you or you're wondering about avaoiding some specific scenario, just ask!

It is difficult to see errors that you are aware of in photographs. I do not see anything that really stands out as rough in your build. One thing that may enhance the appearance is to lightly sand the mold seam off of the tires. It removes the seam and gives the tire a used appearance.

Nice work and welcome to the forum. You'll get some really good ideas and tips form the guys here, there are some excellent builders always ready to give good advice.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I fixed the area in front of the rear wheels and decided to make the whole thing look race-worn to build up on the used-tyre effect.
