cementing help!
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, July 12, 2003 5:03 PM
I have just started building my first motorcycle model (I'm on step one, constructing the engine :P) and I was wondering for how long I should let the cement set before cleaning the parts through with mild soapy water (prior to painting)? I'm using Humbrol precision poly cement and it doesn't say on the bottle how long it needs to set...

I greatly appreciate your support in this forum! thank you :)

Yeah, I would leave them overnight at least, just to be safe.
Good luck on the build. Make sure to show us some pictures when its done.

Hi, I concur, but I would also say that I would wash your parts before cememting. The cememt will work better, and less chance of damage to the delicate parts. Congrats on graduating. What's next for you?
