Hey Modelkid,

Revell makes one, but its got the cowl induction hood. I hate to say it, but you may be looking at a serious mod to the hood with a good sharp knife and some putty. The other option is to search E-bay for an older kit that may have had it, or borrow parts from a different year.

Hope the suggestion helps!

Maybe you could use the hood in AMT's reissued 67/68 Camaro?

Try going to www.megahobby.com.
There's a good selection of Camaro's there.

I really like this kit but all three I have bought the windows are so scratched that they are useless. I went to the Revell sit to find out they charge for replacement parts that I have already paid for. Rather bad business practice.

Hey umax, you may have to pay $3 for the parts, but it's alot better than AMT/ERTL's policy. They will do nothing. You have to return the kit to where you got it. Well, what if you can't? You are screwed. Crappiest CS i've ever seen.

Hey kid, you must be looking at some older tools. their current offerings, such as the 58 Fury, 62 T-Bird, etc. are incredible! Seperate everything, nice sharp engraving, etc. Check em out!

Revell customer service is great. I bought a 65 GT350H kit. The decals looked very old and discolored. The hood shrank and warped after cleaning and reshooting it three times, and when I was burnishing down the BMF on the side window I used to much pressure and broke it. Revell sent me the replacement items for three dollars. The only part that was defective out of the box was the decal sheet. I am a happy camper. I will say that the hood decals were a bear to apply though. The decals for the rest of the car were one piece, double racing strips with a space in between. The decal for the hood was two seperate pieces and when they became saturated on the decal backing they curled completely up and were almost impossibe to flaten back out. Also, getting the spacing right was just as hard. I spent about forty minutes getting them right and just about gave up on several occassions.

If you break it I can see charging the cash but out of the box damage, NO. I can see there point also. I decided not to purchase any other Revell/Monogram kits unless I can open them and inspect them and luckily enough the hobby shop I go to has no problem with this.

Modelkid, even tho that kit was recently reissued, it is a old tool. To see what their kits are like now, you need to look at a NEW tool, like one of the ones I mentioned, not a reissued old tool. Umax, the reason for the postage charge is that alot of people ask for replacement parts that really don't need them, just want to have extras. They have to recoupe some of their losses. I don't mind that so much. Try to get something from Ertl.
