Thanks Giga. Once the rear suspension and braking systems are complete, I'll post some more pictures and update the web journal.

I'm starting to get a little concerned though that I won't be able to enter this piece in any shows. It doesn't have any plastic. I don't know if the judges would allow it. It's certainly not die cast as I've assembled each piece and scratch built a great deal of the engine detail, but it clearly does not comform to IPMS regulations (emphasis on the 'P').

Red - I started working on the engine in July. I figure I've got about 200+ hours invested at this point. The entire model will take about 750 hours to complete.

Warra - It's the engine from the Promocom Ferrari 126 C2 kit in 1:8 scale with a number of scratcfh-built parts added in.

Crasher - The next installment goes on line in about 3 hours. Stay tuned.

Terrific job, Andy.
Have just visited this forum for the first time.
Is the engine from a kit, and which kit, or is it sratchbuilt?

Fabulous Andy - don't bring it over here to the UK then. Filled mine up today and didn't even get 9 gallons for nigh on £37 at Asda (same as Walmart). (I'll let you Guys work it out!).

Look forward to the next instalment.

It's 1:8 scale and I'd fire it up except I can't afford the gas!

Good luck, Andy! I don't know judges and what they look for, but IMO, this is a winner!

We'll find out next February Vapo when she debuts at the IPMS show in Columbus. I'm very excited to see what the judges will think of this one.

Thanks SeaBee.

The engine's about done. Time to get started on the transmission and rear suspension.
