vintage buses - 40's and 50's
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, October 9, 2005 10:26 PM
Does anyone know if there are any kits out there of vintage buses, 40's and 50's era? Not those big boxy things they make now but the older buses that actually had style. Something 1/35th or larger. A double decker would be really cool too!

I've seen a resin 1950's GMC bus on ebay a few times, I think it is 1/25, but it always goes for $100+

Japanese maker LS made a 50's-60's (US school bus like) Isuzu Bonnet, in 1/32, also boxed by ARII, a rare & really nice kit.

Heller as mention earlier, did make a nice 30's-50's Renault TN6 city bus in 1/24, was repop in the mid 90's.

Many, many, resin kits are available, including double deckers, but in much smaller scale (HO).
