I just got this kit yesterday and am not sure what to think. The resin body is very thick, the resin chassis pan does not fit very well. It looks like you can sand the chassis pan to fit. On the plus side the resin and photo-etch detail parts look great. Comparing it to the very old IMC kit shows it quite a bit larger than the IMC one. It does not come with seat belts however I can use the Studio 27 detail set for the GT40. I will post some pictures later of the parts laid out. By the way if you would like to display some of your built models or see some of mine and other built models go to www.weberplasticmodels.com. Thanks, Rene'

Oh you poor soul. Welcome to the world of Profil 24, where the resin smell will leave you goofy and nothing is the way it seems. Having done (yes it was completely finished) the McLaren F1, let me tell you nothing you said surprises me. If you really want to do this, be prepared to spend many hours correnting everything. In my case, the pan did not fit, there were 1,000 pinholes and the flash would choke a donkey. Enough of the downside. When you get it cleaned up, it really presents well. The detail level is pretty good and I thought better than the Studio 27 McLaren. It does lend itself to having lots of goodies attached.
Hang in there fellow modeler, it is still a cool subject when done.

Sounds like a cool project, Rene. I'm looking forward to seeing more of it. I'm interested in seeing the pictures, also.

Why can't LeMans Miniatures and Profil24 use resin like Paul Fisher and Studio 27? I think they got a cheap buy on some resin from the 1980s and trying to use it all up. The smell alone makes you gasp for air. Rene'
