I was thinking of purchasing Revell's kit for the 2006 Mustang for my first car build and was wondering if there's an easy way to find paint that matches with the Ford factory colors. Any tips?

If you airbrush, Model Car Warehouse can mix you up any color you want. Just send them the color code and they will send you a 2 oz bottle (special order I believe) in either laquer or enamel. you can probrably get the code from Ford.

Unfortunately they won't ship overseas and I'm living in the UK for now. Sad [:(] Any ideas on where I might be able to get it over here?

do you guys have dupli-color or some sort of automotive touch up paint sold in spray cans? We have these at large chain stores, not really sure what stores would carry them in the UK? If you can find dupli-color or something similar, you can look up the colors for an 05 (if its not to new) and buy the touch up paint that matches, or go to a Ford dealer and tell them the color you want for an 05 'stang. They normally carry spray cans of touch up paint and bottles. I don't know if this will help you since I am not surewhat is avaliable to you over there. Good luck.

I've been looking at touch-up paints, but I'm not sure how to tell if I have an exact match (or even how close of a match I have). The idea of going to the local dealership is a good one. I'm not sure if they have the same colors over here as Ford US does, though. If I'm not mistaken, that color is just for the Mustang, which isn't sold over here, as far as I know.

This is a great kit. I am dissapointed by the choice of wheels though. My Real Car has the "Bullet" style 5 spokers and the kit has the 10 spoke chromes  Ugh.

The Monogram 1932 Ford 5 window kit has a nice set of mag wheels that are the 5 spoke mags like the "Bullet" wheels (Keystone or American mags?)

One further note. Last weekend I got to see a real Shelby GT 500 Mustang in Levonia Michigan (Or near there). It is outragous. IMHO it also would look better with the "Bullit" mags. The Ford engineer I was visiting got me a ride in it on the condition that I stop drooling all over it. My life is now complete. It is a shame that most of these cars will be stored up on blocks in wealthy folks collections. Every one of these cars that are planned to be produced are allready sold. Most, if not all of us, will have to be content with a model of the car.
