FINALLY
Posted by modelbuilder on Sunday, November 6, 2005 7:12 PM
I have finally posted some more in progress pics on my Tamiya McLaren MP4/13. Had to take a break from this progect for a while but now am back to it. I was very disappointed with Tamiyas decals in this kit, they seemed rather thick and hard to get to conform to the various shapes. Has anyone else that built this kit had these same problems?

looks good to me. Normally Tamiya decals are top notch? I did the Motol R34 and it had over 100 decals, they were all thin and snuggled down good, with no micro sol or set. I was pretty impressed myself. Maybe its the size of the decals that requires them to be a little thicker? Anyhoo, the car looks great.

Only decal I had problems with, was the red one under the nose. Only Microsol could make that one fit...

Looking great! Very well done on those CF'ing!

here are some more pics of the nearly finished product. Final assembly was tricky and I need to do some touch up and final decalling.

Looks pretty darn smooth! Thumbs Up [tup]

You must give us some more close-ups when done! (My digital camera hates close-ups...) But I'd hate the guys not to see all the detail you put in there, some of which can be seen in the pics above.

"Very Nice."

I'm looking forward to some closeups as well.

Thanks for posting those pics, Bill.
