This was the first time Id tried something like this, apart from a few mods to air intakes and such. The pics dont do the Marlboro red justice - its Tamiya flourescent red (TS36 I think ?) and it looks brilliant in daylight.

Best thing about it tho is that its totally unique.

Finally got around to finishing this after many months of crappy weather (have to spray outside) 

Well pleased with the results...

Next up is an interesting NSR.....more later.

Been working on the fairing....chopped off rear of bellypan section and built up a frame of stryene. Glued more styrene to the top of the fairing where it meets the screen to make these bits wider. Cut out right hand air intake on side of fairing. Rebuilt this with styrene.

Then I started with the Milliput. Covered in rear of bellypan, filled in all air intakes and slots, and filled in the join between the upper and lower fairing pieces. New join lines will have to be scribed in the correct positions.

More Milliput to the nose of the fairing to make it more pointed, and the pieces in front of the handlebars wider.

Next up is spraying but that will have to wait til we get some decent weather....

Have 99% of the tail section finished now. Theres still a few tiny, but annoying, marks that I have to fill and sand but apart from that Im very pleased with the outcome.

Waiting on some filling putty at the moment to finish it off properly.

 In the meantime, Ive started work on the main fairing. This I reckon will be actually much trickier as theres a lot of little mods to be done, not to mention getting a nice uniform finish to the relatively large side areas. More pics soon.

Ive now modified the fuel tank to make it wider and flatter on top. Still working on the tail section - trying - and trying - and trying - to get a smooth finish !
