For me it is 6:30am Friday 23/12/05. However in London, it is Thursday 22/12, & the day of Richard Burns' memorial. RIP Richard. I think you would be terrifically touched & moved by the 19 000 odd messages on your website. Farewell my good man.

Not a good year for offroad racing. In a season where another was lost such a short time ago, to lose this talent as well, is tragic. Condolences to all.

I sincerely hope next year will be better (in this sence), from Dakar right through to the last race of the season in all forms of motor racing.

Yes saw it on teletext this morning. I thought he was on the road to recovery. Very sad.

Wow, sad day.  I was under the impression that he was improving.  A real loss to the rally world.  I'm a McRae fan, but you always had to tip your hat to Burns, a true talent.

Yes - very sad!  I just heard it on the BBC Sports coverage and didn't even know that he was ill.
A great talent - he'll  be sorely missed.

Hi everyone

This post is for all the Rally modellers on this forum. I've just had a despatch come through to me from WRC.com, stating Richard Burns, 2001 world rally champion, passed away peacefully Friday night London time from an astrocytoma he developed at the end of 2003. I'm sure I speak for everybody in this forum in extending our sincerest condolences to his family & friends.Sad [:(]Bow [bow]
