1/32 Aston Martin DB5 wheels
Posted by chris hall on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 8:38 AM

Hi, folks,

I've just acquired an Airfix 1/32 Aston Martin DB5. The moulds date from 1967. It'll be hard work, but nothing I can't handle. The exception is the wheels. they've no tread, are hollow inside, and the wheels bear no resemblance at all to wire wheels.

Tyres I can probably find from Scalextric accessories in my LHS, but does anyone know where I can find 1/32 wire wheels? Would looking for etched inserts be a practical alternative? The wheels are 15/32"  /  12mm in diameter.

Thanks in anticipation.

Chris
