Ferrari Front End
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, December 16, 2005 8:31 AM

The front brakes and suspension are finally done.  I'll be updating the web site's build journal with lots of photos later this weekend.  Next up - Driver's Cockpit.  Once that's done, the rear end can be attached to the monocoque.

Looks great, thanks for sharing.  I'm curious: What scale is this?

By the looks of things I'm beginning to suspect that you are in 1/8th scale to!? How on earth can you assemble something that looks like the real thing without being very small and tiny yourself?

This is simply the most stunning piece of work I've seen in a long time and it keeps popping my eye and dropping my jaws.

Can't wait for the next installment.

Cheers!

This is 1:8 scale High.  Ever since I built my first 1:8 scale piece about 6 years ago, it's all I like to do anymore.

Frosty:

Once completed, they go to friends houses, hobby shops, you name it.  I keep a few in my workshop, but for the most part, I give them to others to display.

Eizzle - I'll stick to 1:8.  I can't afford the gas for a 1:1 version! Big Smile [:D]

Sea - I'd rather buy models than petrol.  I finished the suede upholstery on the driver's seat this morning and am sewing seat belt harnesses now.  Should have the cockpit finished by tomorrow night.

Andy, I'd love to see that cockpit! Sewing and all... Good grief!

I am at this stage putting off starting a Subaru's "real" seat belts! Blush [:I] Maybe I'll pluck up the courage before Christmas weekend.

Thanks Eizzle.  I can't wait until the engine gets attached to the monocoque.  Now THAT's going to be something to see.
