This is my build of the 1/12th scale Monogram 1969 Camaro Z/28 kit as an SS396.

I have a Revell 1969 Camaro Convertible SS/RS And the instructions don't say what to paint the undercarriage? I am thinking it is probably flat black, but I know satin or semi-gloss black is a popular choice.. just wondering what you decided on for yours?

This is what I did on mine, although I don’t think it’s exactly a “factory” reproduction but I wanted some contrast. I painted the front subframe and rear pan semi-gloss black, then using liquid mask where I could, then masking tape for the rest, then shot the center floor pan Testors 36375 aircraft gray. The exhaust is several shades of Testors Metalizers with a flat black wash on the resonators. Keep in mind that this is done in 1/12th scale and was much easier to do than in 1/24th.

That's one sharp build. I especially like the under hood details.

I think I'll have to give a 1/12th scale a try instead of all my 1:24th and 1:25th that I've been doing.

Thanks for sharing!
