MY first custom and first airbrushed paint job!
Posted by eizzle on Monday, December 19, 2005 7:15 PM

I decided to try a somewhat custom paint job on my Super Stallion Mustang. I airbrushed it everything except the base color. Thanks for looking and all comments are welcome.

The flames are a little out of shape, but it was a pain trying to cut them that small, hopefully I will get a little better at it with a little practice!

eizzle, that's great! I know how long you've had an airbrush, which is to say, not very long.

Very good work for a n00b!

So long folks!

Thanks Bgrigg. I used the airbrush a little bit just playing around on old parts, and I decided I would use it to finish this project. I did the stripes, and the whole interior and most of the undercarrige with it and, suprisingly enough, I think it turned out pretty good Big Smile [:D] I was a little worried about using it for gloss paint, since all I have done so far is flats, but it was pretty easy, at least, it wasn't as hard as I set myself up for! Again, thanks Bgrigg, its kinda nice to be a noob again Tongue [:P]Dunce [D)]

A job well done.  Look forward to seeing your model completed.  I have been airbrushing for just over 20 years and it's great to see other people getting good results.

Cheers

Great job, Eizzle! Airbrushing is quite difficult at first, so esp in the light of that! Great masking job as well, which is of course crutial.
