I have a bad habit of stopping at every LHS I see when I am traveling. I currently am super detailing the Monogram 1/32 Mack engine. This is an old kit but a good staple that gets re-released every few years.
While traveling, I found a 9-11 ground zero tribute set from Verlinden. The resin set has 3 modern firefighters that are beautiful and being 54mm are perfect for the Monogram kit. The best part is the kit was only $11.00.
I have also added 1/35 tools and military equipment made by Tamiya and Verlinden. The tools are very generic so they work well. The personal equipment such as coats and flash lights fit right in with the right civilian paint scheme.
There is hope for those of us in that little niche of emergency vehicles!!!
