Turning the wheels
Posted by RadMax8 on Saturday, December 31, 2005 1:59 PM
I'm building the 2002 Steve Kinser Sprint car and I want to put it on a base so it looks like it's sliding thru the turn. What would be the best way to go about making the front tires turned? Thanks guys!

I'm not familar with that model, but I am familar with real suspensions, anything that spins on the local track and I've been dabbling in car models from way back.

If I could see either a pic, diagram or something explaining how the kit goes together and how much custom building you are willing to do... Maybe I could toss a few ideas your way.

Like Jhandle wrote, it would be easier to say if there was a pic, but I think I can tell you a method you will probably be able to make work. When you put the part spindle (the part the wheel goes on) on to the rest of the suspension, like A-arms and the tie rod, if its possible to do this, instead of gluing them in, take your knife and heat it and then use it to make the pins the suspension fits to have a mushroom head, just take the hot blade and push it against the pin and it should do the trick. I hope this helps, good luck!
