Model Truck question from an armor guy

Hello all,

First post in this forum and hoping I can find some help. My brother in law is trying to build a model truck (peterbilt,mack,etc..). I believe Revell makes truck kits, but that is the extent of my knowledge on the subject. Who else makes great model truck kits and where can I get accessories for the kits such as tires, rims, and other custom stuff. I assume there must be a ton of aftermarket stuff like there is for armor, but I could be wrong. I am completely lost and any and all information will be greatly appreciated!
