Ambulance and emergency-type vehicles
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, January 27, 2006 1:09 PM
Just wanted to let anyone know if they needed some knowledgeable info on any questions you might have concerning details, building methods, functions, wiring and plumbing or other on emergency vehicles of all sorts, most particularly ambulances, give me a holler.
Having worked in the EMS field 15+ years now, I've gained some insight into these vehicles. I've also serviced numerous manufacturers ambulances from Type I's to III's, light to heavy-duty, and have toured and seen firsthand how several manufacturers assembly lines assemble their chassis'.
I also know what stock is placed in them, and how they appear.
If you need reference photos I probably have or can get it.

I only post this if anyone has need of some firsthand reference on any perplexing emergency vehicle builds!

Larry,

Thanks for the post. You might have what I am looking for. I have a model of an F-350 Duallie pick-up that I want to make into a med unit. I have checked with my local med units and they all run Ford Expeditions or Chevy Suburbans. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
