That is one nice lookin' bike! Those things are just awesome! I am gonna have to do this one, right after I buy and build my Ducati!

which one?  the 916?  or 1/1 916  (I went from a miata to a protoGAY5 wagon during college so I definitely can't afford that.  but the later one will provide us with lots of highly detailed reference info)  =D

protoGAY Laugh [(-D] Thats funny, I have the mazda 6, its a pretty decent car, but not nearly as much fun as my previous loveSad [:(] I plan on getting the 1/12 Ducati, I can't afford a 1/1, or do I have the death wish, cause I wouldn't last long before I was in triple digetsEvil [}:)]

I don't care for the 1/1 bike, but I really like the model.

Nice work!

If you love your bike let it go. If it comes back to you, you've highsided. http://public.fotki.com/luke76/

Bilbirk the colours that I used are from the Tamiya TS spray tin range, however I decant the paint into my airbrush and then airbrush the colours onto the model using about 14psi air pressure and a Badger 200IL airbrush. The trick is to apply the paint so that it goes on moist but doesn't run, it is tricky but works a charm if you get it right. The colours are TS 14 Gloss Black, TS51 Racing Blue and TS13 Clear

Did you buff it with rubbing compound?

I said goddamn. Man that is possibly THE best paint finish I have ever seen on a bike/car. A friend of mine did this kit a little while ago in a custom toffee apple red, with Alclad's Titanium on the exhaust. He used some really toxic stuff as a thinner which evaporated quickly, but glossed up superbly. Made me want to do a few of Rossi's GP rides.
Every time I look at this thing, I feel like climbing aboard.

That finish looks amazing on that bike, if I could pull off half of that I'd be happy.

Clean as always Andrew. I like it a lot. Please tell us a bit about the build. How was the kit, any tricky parts to look out for or any nice solutions on your part?
