Help on MPC 57 vette
Posted by nsclcctl on Thursday, February 9, 2006 8:11 AM
I need help.  Has anyone built this 57 vette?  The instructions are useless.  It is called a flip top in that the hood can be displayed in an open position.  I don't want that, I want it to be a solid body.  However, the body consists of a back half or third, a front half or third and 2-pieces, left and right, very thin.  I can't figure how to put the body together.  Anyone familiar with this?

i have that model in my unbuilt pile but from a couple of other ones from mpc,and amt  that also have the flip nose the body does not line up right if you leave it in the down position

i found with the others the only way it looked right was to glue the body together and forget about the flipping thing working  but that hides the super detailing on the engine

I cannot for the life of me figure this out.  Is the body 2 pieces or are there 2 main halves with small slender right and left pieces which somehow connect the two.  Directions to this kit are pathetic.  The fit of this kit is horrible.  They should be ashamed of themselves to put this garbage on the market.
