This would be the route I would take, or you could even find some lexan which works good as well.

How about a diorama with bullet holes all over the windshield, driver's door opened upwards, and Jonny Depp sitting at the wheel all shot to hell .....

your chocies are.
1. order a new windshild from  italieri/testors,  if possible
2.buy a new kit
3. vacuform a new one. if you have access to a vacuform kit
4. you could always build a diorama with the car in a shop getting fixed?
