Custom Pickup
Posted by customizer on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 8:35 PM

I built this one last year. It's a '50 Chevy cab, chopped, sectioned with a custom front section and the windshield changed to a one piece unit and the three piece rear window made into one as well. The front fenders were stretched and the wheelwells flared. The bed was made from a '60 Ford starliner. The bed was pie cut to make the front narrower and then the fender sides were cut horizontally under the fins and brought closer together making the fenders straight and the fins angled on top. The rolled pan under the rear was made from the '60 Starliner hood. The reccess that runs the length of the body starts widest on the rolled pan and narrows as it goes to the tip of the hood. The wheelwells were relocated, reshaped and flared. As I was building this one my imagination really got the better of me in the design so I named it XSF. Thanks for looking.

Ron.

Heck,I'm struggling to just find the time to finish a box stock build(probably would help if I got off of the 'net and got to work on it)
