Nostalgic BreDatsun 510 Pics

Hey-

I needed a break from a longer project and saw this car on the cover of Classic Motorsports Magazine last month.  I built it back when and it was one of my favorites, so I decided to build it again.  Since this was just a break, I built it straight from the box, with no extras, no modifying, no research.  I even used the gray vinyl tubing in the engine compartment supplied by Revell.  I remember the tubing kinking a lot when I built it years ago, so I did insert some wire into the tubing so it would hold a bend better.  After building it again after so many years, I would have to say this is a really nice kit.  The fit is good and it's not lacking much in detail, even compared to more recent kits.  Definitely a fun project.   Here are the pics:

Thanks for looking.

That's a great looking 510! I had a '72 for a while, used to have a lot of fun drifting around corners in it. Ah, those were the days! I never realized there was a kit for it. I should get one and paint it like my old car. I wonder if you can get Mustard Yellow paint...

So long folks!
