1/24 or 1/25 scale computer?
Posted by dirkpitt77 on Monday, July 10, 2006 11:45 AM

     Hey guys,

One of my ongoing projects is a diorama of my service bay at work.  I have scratchbuilt most of the benches, cabinets and accessories, but the one thing I have not been able to find is a scale computer.  We use one computer for the state emissions inspection testing machine and one to connect to GM's online service information network.  So, I need a scale PC.  Anybody  know of a source?

                                                                                                     Thanks,

                                                                                                                  Chris

Yup.  It's from that movie, "The Right Stuff"  I used to have a roommate who would quote lines from that movie all the time.  Drove me up the wall. LOL.  He was one of those nuke missile guys in the Air Force at the time.

CHRIS

I read your post and checked on the internet @ SCALE EQUIPMENT LTD.

they sell 1/24 & 1/25 diorama equipment. They have a desk top computer #25134 for $5.49 ea.

and a laptop computer for $4.95 ea. Hope this will help you.

So close, but not quite!

It's from "Apollo 13," not "The Right Stuff." But both are great movies and very quoteworthy.

Any one else notice that the tops of a Lexmark printer cartridge resembles a miniature PC? Looks to be about right size for 1/24-1/25 scale models. We use to have a lexmark before going to HP and still have a few of the Lexmark cartridges. I've kept a few just for the purpose of using the tops that look like a small computer in my models.
