Rossi's Mugello '01 NSR 500

I've just found out that Renaissance have released seperately the decals & a t/kit (which includes the decals) of Rossi's 'hawaiian look' bike. The transkit is obviously a whole pile of resin to re-do his Nastro bike, but were the differences between the '00 & the '01 bikes that significant? In other words, could I get away with just using the decals?

The two biggest visable differences are the location of the ram air intake, and the frame.  The 2000 year NSR's had the ram intake below the nose fairing and the 2001 was molded into the nose.  The new frame design by HRC has more of a right angle where the frame meets the subframe.

I hope this helps.
