im working on the Tamiya kit but i'm missing the full instructions, ive got a printout from a site but cant find the main colour of the car
on the box it looks very light blue, but i havnt got the colour mix
all the real cars look white. could it be any other colour?

Have you taken a look at the box? Sometimes Tamiya puts the color chart on the box as well. I have noticed this and just thought it might help. Good luck Captain Caveman!

I think all the Abarths were light gray. I have that kit, and if I remember correctly that version only came in one color -- gray with the red trim.

Do a Google image search for "Fiat Abarth 595" and you'll see lots of full-size examples.

If you can, post a picture when you get the model done -- I'd love to see it!

Hey Caveman. You've got the kit that does the '80 Monte, haven't you? The colours for that car, I expect would be:
bodyshell - white
striping - light blue, blue, royal blue

I dug out an old issue of Scale Auto Modeller which had a build in it, & the writer mentions he had a problem with the fit of the darker decals, so he mixed up satin black/french blue to blend them in. That would indicate the darkest of the 3 colours is darker than royal blue. In any case, the main bodyshell is white. Matt black interior.
