Help! Looking for Audi model kits
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, August 18, 2006 12:37 AM
Hi!

This is my first post.  I used to subscribe the magazine but I've let it lapse since I went to college two years ago.

I was thinking about getting back into it, though, and so I thought I'd look for a model of my favorite subject matter-- Audi automobiles.  When I looked for some, all I could find was a handful of Die cast models and a RC car or two.  If anyone could point me in the direction of a plastic or resin kit, I would be most grateful.  Thanks and I look forward to any replies.

Off the top of my head, the only ones I can think of is a recent rerelease of the old Audi Quattro rally car by Tamiya or Hasegawa in plastic. And Fujimi has an Audi 90.
Resin - Le Mans Miniatures does some devine R8's, quite a few versions, I am currently awaiting delivery of mine (2001 one) and the are planning on bringing out their R10 in September, if all goes well.

did Tamiya have their DTM audi in the 1/24 line?  or was it just 1/10 scale RC only?

ack, nevermind, just confirmed that both that old DTM which came about together with the mercedez c-class and the newer 2005 A4 n TT are only 1/10 polycarbonate bodies for their R/C line.  sure still looks good though.

Yeah, of course, Audi DTMs are available in 1:43 (and the 1:10 RC) Stunning cars! I think there's some still availble by Provence Miniatures.
