1/9 Italeri Harley Davidson (fifties style) bigger pics now
Posted by FoxbaT73 on Monday, October 16, 2006 2:53 PM

I just finished this 1/9 scale Italeri kit which is actually a Liberator (army-Harley) kit. I really like the ``bobber`` style from right after the second world war, so i decided to convert the Liberator into this bobber.

I ``chopped`` the rear fender, leaved the front fender in the box, lowered the front fork, narrowed the handlebar, made a slash cut exhaust, an aluminium velocity stack for the carb, a new headlight mounting bracket to relocate the headlight and a homemade real leather saddle.

The lenght of the model is 23cm.

Normally i build 1/48 scale aircraft models, but for a change i really liked this project.

I hope you all enjoy the pics, although they are a bit dark.

That is a beautiful conversion job.  What did you use for the thermal wrap?

Your image was small cuz between that img,/img tags, you had the .th. in your image name, so it linked to the thumbnails.

Cool work on this bobber from 2006 , And I thought I was original! , goes to show there is little that is new in model building.

Thank you ,Krow113
